Hybrid magazine recently got the chance to meet up with Glenn Hansard and Colm Mac Conlomaire from The Frames on the opening night of their current US tour in support of Damien Rice. After catching a bit of the (rather rough) sound check, David DeVoe got to chat and laugh for a bit with them about winning a Meteor award, moms, and getting arrested... [David DeVoe]

As far as best-kept music secrets in the U.S. go, The Frames top the list. Despite several years of U.S. touring, including separate tours with The New Pornographers, Calexico, and their most recent -- opening 25 dates for Damien Rice -- wide-spread American appreciation remains illusive.
