frames stuff...

hello all. sorry ive been quiet lately - too much to do and not enough hours in the day... im sure you know the one - so ill get straight on with it...

AMERICA
as we probably all know, the frames bus is touring the states at the moment, currently stopping off for a day off in nashville on their way to georgia for tonight, and a mighty fine time theyre having. its been great to play to such appreciative audiences in boston and new york and madison and champaign and indianapolis - and being on the road with a lovely bunch of heads - the new pornographers - things couldnt be better. thanks in retrospect and advance for anyone going out and supporting the shows - the cheesy grin factor is high and they have that lovely warm feeling inside their guts right now.... they still have the following shows to do - so - if you want to catch em, you can at:

2-7th in the studio
8th bottom of the hill with Dead Low Tide and Pleasure Forever. frames are 3rd on this bill and i beleive will be on at 10pm. tickets are now on sale through b.o.t.h's site.
9th knitting factory, LA times to be confirmed - check our site or theirs for more details
11th tucson somewhere tbc
14th scottish rite theatre / sxsw as part of the overcoat recordings showcase with Richard Buckner, Kingsbury Manx, Knife in the Water and Jim and Jennie and the Pinetops.
15th instore in austin texas at tower records at 2pm.

ENGLAND
june 12th the garage, london - support from the lovely mr josh ritter (tbc but very likely) straight after england it will be something like this - (i tell you this plan cause i know some of you have expressed an interest in holidaying in this part of the world - very nice too - and catching a gig or two, and berny, it gives you a chance to tart up your passport....)
14th bratislava, slovakia dates to be announced
15-20th austria - dates to be announced
21st - 30th czech republic - dates to be announced

july
1-4th slovakia - dates to be announced... then back to ireland for some stuff which ill tell you about later.

RECORDED THINGS
whilst they have a couple of days off in chicago - they will be going back into electrical audio to do some recordings for the next album and also some reworkings of headlong and what happens for possible release as a single in april/may.

talking of releases - you should definatly check out JOSH RITTERS 'me & jiggs' ep which is released in ireland on march 1st. glen lends some guitar, backing vocals and atmosphere on 2 of the tracks on the ep - namely, come and find me and rainslicker, taken from a session that josh and himself recorded for galway bay fm last year. while im here i should mention for those that are asking, that josh is on tour with paul oreilly as support (and martin finke too in galway and dublin) on
