it's been all change around here this past month with 2 new arrivals into my house. arrival number 1 was a new baby (thanks for all your messages and kind words!). daughter unit number 2 is all gorgeous and well and 6 weeks old today. she's making it tough for this mother unit to get to work though and i apologise for lack of newsletters etc recently. the other arrival, which has made work a little easier, is the arrival of broadband to the middle of nowhere, here in ireland!! now THAT is bloody marvellous and worth celebrating i can tell you. i no longer need to curse people for sending me big files and i can download artwork and stuff in a mere snip of a second, rather than leaving it on overnight to chug its own slow way in, crashing the computer a few times on the way to the inbox... i can even have a look at youtube etc etc... it's all very exciting :0)

on a music/film/touring schedule level its been rather fantastically busy too... more touring to come (see below) - couple of dates in australia added for those that have been badgering me to do so and the 'once' film and soundtrack is going from strength to strength in america. all is good and the only thing grumbling is glen's passport, which now lives permanently in his back pocket and is becoming a little tired from all the globe trotting. i think he managed to draw breath and have an hour or two off about a month ago, and he has another one scheduled for october...

i also want to run a 'design a frames tshirt' competition which i'll kick off now while im here. if you fancy it - design a shirt and we'll work on where to send the design to for us all to have a look at and judge a winner. it will probably be a link and we'll put the link up on the site, so keep your eyes open if you're interested. we'll be judging them around the 31st july and the winner will receive x 10 of your own shirt designs for handing out to friends and family, plus free in for you and a mate, and well-treated to a show of your choice wherever you happen to be on the planet. might be some other goodies too if i can wangle em... fancy it? well - you have x 2 colours to work with and of course the colour of the tshirt its printed on - so - go for it. front design only please.

Cinemobile makes 'Once' off visit to Headford
Cinemobile, Ireland's travelling cinema will be stopping off in Galway this month.
Cinemobile is a non-profit making organisation and a registered charity. On its trip to the West, it will be presenting 'Once', a modern-day musical set on the streets of Dublin, telling the story of a busker, an immigrant and their eventful week, as they write, rehearse and record songs that tell their love story.
The Cinemobile will be visiting the Oaklands Hotel Car Park in Glenamaddy on 7 July at 7pm.
Group bookings can be made daily by contacting 091-751629 and tickets cost €6.50.

Once is due for australian release on the 30th august. its going to be at the Melbourne International Film Festival (International Panorama Section) from July 25th until August 12th.
