morning all. hope this finds you all well. its a beautiful monday morning here in wexford, the beach is calling, the dog needs walking and joe needs to be woken up, so im going to be breif...

eyes down and from the top...
april 17th. them frames will be playing at vicar street, playing some new songs, playing some old songs - tickets will be on sale from road records, sound cellar and ticketmaster as of april 1st (which is tomorrow) - book early to avoid disapointment if you absolutely HAVE to go. support will come in the shape of the amazing nicolai dungar from sweden....you really have to check him out (for all nicolai fans he will be headlining the village the night before -16th april - too). vicar st will be a standing show.

from there, hopefully armed with a bag full of cash, the lads will be opening their easter eggs, eating them quickly and stepping on to a plane to chicago to go record in electrical audio, where they will hand over the bag full of cash in return for some quality studio time...

next up in may there is the possibility of some west coast of america dates with calexico... nothing confirmed yet, but watch this space...

then theyre back this side of the pond to do some noodling on the record before heading to london on the 29th may to play in the union chapel in islington. again, nicolai dungar is supporting (we like him....) and tix can be got from CREDIT CARD HOTLINE: 020 7344 0044 (24HRS) OR http://WWW.MEANFIDDLER.COM AND http://WWW.WAYAHEAD.COM or you can get them from Astoria and jazz cafe and stargreen for hard cash in person.

glen i should say too, will be playing at the killyleagh, northern irish festival as one of the support acts to van morrison on the 25th may, 4.30yish

then a bit more noodling on the record, before heading back to america - east coast this time - for a quick jaunt at the paradise in boston on the 5th june, the bowery in new york on the 7th june and the abbey pub in chicago on the 8th june. again... book early to avoid a no show situation...

then home again, home again, jiggedy jig to the county clare to play the lisdoonvarna festival with christy moore, mundy, josh, bonnie prince billy amongst others. we'll be on just before christy..

for the avoidance of doubt as im still getting asked - we will not be playing witnness this year, nor slane. we've too much noodling to get on with on the record, but i am looking at our own festival type gig thing towards the end of august/early september... again - more details as we have em.

tv3 on april 10th theres a documentry called young dubliners which caught up with glen for 5 minutes whilst filming around town...

fair trade oxfam gig - a very worthy cause which needs your support on the 15th april in vicar street.

the rte show other voices are putting together an album with one song from each of the featured artistes which theyre aiming to get on the shelves by april 11th. our contribution will be star star as it was live on the tele.

the hotpress yearbook has a cover mounted cd which has an accoustic version of revelate on it from the galway bay fm sessions and very nice it is too...

we here are all gutted about the decision to take no disco off the air... a sad sad loss it will be and if you can, then please sign the petition to make them think twice at http://www.petitiononline.com/thumped/petition.html

we are still working with them to get the frames footage shown on one of the no disco special shows which will probably be sometime in may - but i will let you know when i have a defiante date.

live album coming along nicely... working title is 'set list' and it will be a must have for anyones collection... everything from revelate to santa maria with god bless mom, pavement tune, lay me down, perfect opening line etc etc in between...

so thats about the size of it.
