i'm putting together another gig in vicar street on may 17th. support is likely to be those starship troupers and gorgeous young men collectively known as bellx1 plus another very special guest band, so get there early if you dont want to miss any of the action. tickets available from ticketmaster/road/sound cellar as of weds... might be worth checking earlier though... but then again... we dont want another rolling stones fiasco...

also - i should mention at the top of this letter before i waffle on about other stuff - WE HAVE A NEW LIVE RECORD COMING OUT AT LAST!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!!! its called 'set list' and we are all very happy with it and we hope you like it too - its been a long time overdue, i know, but it is finally hitting a store near you in ireland on may 16th. the tracklist is: revelate, star star, god bless mom, pavement tune, stars are underground, lay me down, rent day blues, what happens when the heart just stops, perfect opening line, santa maria, fitzcarraldo, your face and the blood. we've left the bit in in the middle of fitcarraldo where the amp blew up and caught fire and a story about a dog.....part from that, its full-on music/crowd/music/crowd/music etc from start to finish and is a very nice addition to one's collection :0) the version of your face is particularly fine i think...

3mv in england will be making the record available in stores in the uk from the 26th may.
little big in australia will be making the record available in stores as soon as humanly possible too...
now - in america - i dont know yet what we're doing with the record. hopefully it will be available in stores too at some point soon, or on amazon sooner, but im sure we'll bring over a suitcase to sell at the shows in june for those that cant wait.
i beleive that konkurrent in the benelux countries will be taking some set lists too to get out in their territories.

for the birds is also going to be available at a lower price from the 23rd may for about a month.

oh, another thing that i need you to know for sure is - may 10th the 45 minute live footage from witnness 2001, frames headlining the rising tent, will be aired on rte network 2, the last no disco show - so get your videos primed.

if you want to have a cover for your home taping, then you can get one if you purchase a copy of hot press - the issue that comes out may 8th. we have designed one and it will feature as a bit of a pull out in that issue of hp.

also - those good people at today fm have made a 2 hour documentry that goes out at 9pm on the 18th may - sort of a from the early days to this point kind of a thing...

glen will be doing an instore in hmv on grafton street on the 16th may - now, i dont know how we're going to sort out who gets in or not - but i think they only let 250 people in there max and it may be a first come first served kind of thing but i will post on the board when its sorted out.

27th i am pleased to confirm that them frames will be heading over to glastonbury, england to play the acoustic stage (but with a full band) at the 5.45pm mark...!!
28th i am also pleased to confirm that the frames (a little worse for wear from staying up all night at glastonbury and getting the red eye home) will be playing lisdoonvarna with christy moore, josh ritter and many other musical luminaries.
