our friend and amazing chanteuse, nina nastasia, will be playing a show in the knitting factory in new york on june 1st. she'll have pre shop copies of her new album, 'run to ruin' there and if you find yourself at a loose end then treat yourself and a loved one to a special night of glorious music. ninas also coming over here to ireland and will be playing whelans at the end of june, i beleive on the 26th - so seriously - czech her out...

mr ritter is also gracing us with his beautiful smile, poetic songs, interesting hairstyle and even more interesting dress sense in june and july...june 25 auntie annies belfast, 26 an grianian letterkenny, 28 lisdoonvarna festival clare, 29 roisin dubh galway, july 3 half moon cork, 4 the village dublin. support will be from martin finke. tickets will move very quickly for this run, so dont be caught with your pants down...

i also just missed mailling out before kilas gig in vicar street (which was on the 22nd may..damn!) - to launch their fine new album luna park.....there's just too much good stuff out there isnt there? im glad im a good blagger.....

and - finally in the non-framesish related category....interference have a musical delight of a night lined up for vicar street on the 6th june. Guests include Gavin Friday, Iarla O Lionaird ( Afro-Celt Sound System), Nina hynes, Maria Doyle and Mannix Flynn. Its a 2 hour show. First half string quartet, 2nd half serious rock n roll - one that we will all be bummed to miss, but hopefully will be able to console myself with some los angeles sun......
